TYEGD is a registered non-profit organization working to improve the well-being, livelihoods, and rights of communities across Tanzania. Since 2017, we have empowered youth and women through training, advocacy, and access to innovative solutions in agriculture, health, education, and gender equality. Driving Change Through Focused Programs
Our work is structured around three core program areas designed to address inequality, unlock youth potential, and strengthen community resilience. Each program combines practical action, local engagement, and long-term impact to deliver measurable results across Tanzania.
Livelihoods, Agriculture & Environment
We strengthen local economies by supporting youth and women in agriculture, promoting climate-resilient practices, and connecting communities to financial and market opportunities.
Youth Empowerment through Education & Health
We equip young people with practical skills, knowledge, and access to services—ranging from vocational training and entrepreneurship to reproductive health and life skills education.
Gender Equality & Social Inclusion
We advance equal participation by addressing gender-based violence, providing legal awareness, and promoting human rights through community advocacy and policy engagement.
